How to stand out in the NHS lab interview

Follow some specific tips and guidelines for the NHS lab interview 

Know your department

• What area are you applying to?
• What day-to-day things do they do that you can relate your skills to? 

Ask for a lab tour

• Meet the staff you'd be working with 
• Shows interest and gives people the first impression of you who aren't in the interview 
• Let you find more out about the workplace 

Look up quality control

• What quality measures are there in the lab? 
• What are the processes? 
• Why are these important

• Look at the trust website for more info 
• Show how your skills/work ethic align 
• Show What they value from an employee

• Make you seem more interested 
• Keep them relevant, and show that you want to develop 
• Gives you the chance to find more
